Clear, Invisible Solution
If you'd like to straighten your teeth, but don't want to deal with the complications associated with traditional braces, Invisalign might be the solution for you. Many patients who opt for traditional braces often feel self-conscious about smiling while they're completing treatment. Just as the name suggests, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible - allowing patients to straighten their teeth without the apprehension of attracting unwanted attention.
How the Process Works
We take photos and diagnostic casts of your teeth. Send your case to Invisalign and Invisalign in turn virtually sends us your case back. After you approve your "clin check" your aligners will arrive to our office. Over the course of two weeks, aligners gradually shift patients' teeth creating a straighter more aesthetically pleasing appearance. New aligners are created in intervals to continue the treatment process until the desired results are reached. You won't have to receive continuous adjustments; however, you can expect to visit a Dentistry of Wisconsin dentist every four weeks for a checkup.
Invisalign vs. Traditional Braces
While Invisalign treatments aren't ideal for all patients, they do afford a number of benefits over traditional braces. In addition to being nearly invisible, the aligners are removable. You can take them out before you eat - you won't have to avoid certain foods. Traditional metal and wire braces are also known to cause abrasions. Invisalign aligners are also more comfortable because they're constructed to fit over patients' teeth seamlessly.
